Dish vs Cup vs Rights = Simona Halep conquers England


You already know about the topic that every year is started about the Wimbledon trophies. But do you really know why is the difference between the men and women cup? 
I do not think there was someone thinking about the men`s cup vs women`s cup. The men get the bigger thing and the women get the larger thing - both of the trophies are about 47 cm - one in height one in diameter.
There is one another aspect I would like to reveal to you: the writings on each trophy :) 
On the men`s trophy, it says the following "All England Lawn Tennis Club Single Handed Championship of the World" - very precise :) and I will come back to this after the lady`s part! 
So, Ladies first!!!
On the women`s trophy, there are drawings about the classic mythology, it`s called VENUS ROSEWATER DISH and it measures about 47 cm in diameter - the original one that no player takes home after winning the glorious England championship. Everything cool until now, nothing wrong in choosing the trophies. But, there is always a but, when you go a little closer on the drawings on the dish - let us call it a dish - there is a huge error there. The name of the dish is VENUS, but the ancient figure is nit Venus...it is Sophrosyne  - the ideal image of excellence of character and self-control. At least she is a goddess, fair enough. Ok, let us move on with the description of the Venus/Sophrosyne Rosewater Dish. Now, the usage of the rosewater was next - they used to wash the hands of the gods with rosewater and the dish was used to collect all the dirt that came through the god's hands........fault! And even worse, they used to serve food in them just to check if the food is not poisoned ......double fault!!! So it is a dish that saved a couple of god`s lives :) 
And now, they are giving it away in a smaller size to the best woman tennis player that this world has. And this year the best player is Simona Halep, my fellow Romanian citizen.  I watched the game and did not realise that is over so fast. Serena had no chance against the well balanced and perfect image of excellence of the character of Simona. She could not believe it either how good she was in the final. 
After this long story short about the Simona Rosewater Dish -get it?! Simona won the dish and it is called now Simona`s :) - let us go back to the men. Also a good comeback for Novak, won it fair and square against the still incredible Roger. But let us go straight to our topic, the trophy....it`s very nice, it is very big and it really looks like a trophy and not a dish :) - sorry girls. 
It is a cup, a championship cup and it is very normal to be like this. I like this, but, but, but, I really have a problem with the writings on the cup: I wrote it once in the upper part of the post! Do the organizers think men are so dumb that we do not know what it really means?! :))  Example given: Novak is playing against Federer, wins the match and then suddenly while packing up the gear someone of Kent  - sorry Sir - pops up and gives him one cup and walks away with no explanations. Novak thinks what the hell is this and turns it around, upside down and see that something is written on the cup. Then he goes.....ooooooh, I get it now: I am the single-handed championship of the world and the All England lawn tennis club is respecting me for my whole life from now on!!!! 
Come one people, we, men, grow up a little bit later than girls but we do not need that kind of treatment :) :) sometimes we play it just to get extra attention!!
So, if there is anyone thinking that the women get a dish and the men all the glory think again. Think it outside the box, think it like you mean it and think it because you want not taking in consideration what the world is saying!!

Spoiler Alert!! Spoiler Alert!! Avengers: End Game!! Thor with a beer belly :))

Yuhuuuu!! I saw it! I saw it! It is incredible! This movie has it all!! Almost everything. You have to see it!! Pay the man and get a ticket for the next show !!
