Almost 3 Christmases and one dead car

Let me do this quickly, before the New Year Party :) For those who are already in 2019, sorry :) I am doing my new year eve party at my place. But what about Christmas?! Yes, I know that Christmas time is family time...why? I just want to do my things with out worrying that the family is feeling left behind. I have my own family now to spend time with - and a dog #odri #dogdaughter. So, eventually I found myself in our car taking the last trip of it :) Christmas no.1 - after a 1 and 1/2 hour drive, everything was OK, we had something to eat, to drink, we went out at the pub for a couple more beers, dodge a street fight and then, back at the house we ate a little more and drank  little more, around 2 AM went to bed - fire in the fireplace, the smell of wood in the room, my girlfriend by my side, the dog between us, making the bed even smaller......perfect night to wait for Santa. Christmas no. 2 started at 12:00 PM the next day, with a drive of 1 and 1/2 hour towards the sea side. Pe

How do you get ready for your birthday party?

In 2 day times I go a number of years old :) I did not prepared yet. My girlfriend is anxious to bake a cake, to organise a great party for us to feel awesome on the 16th of December. She makes delicious cakes and she has a vast variety of recipes in her head waiting to be cooked :). My friends are waiting for me to invite them and everyone who knows about this day will celebrate with or without me :)) Now, let`s talk about me: I came up to a point when my birthday party is not what it used to be anymore. You know, all that party in the club, at my house or at any other place, bar, pub, friends place, beach, sky-slope, etc. I am almost done with all of that. And I am not getting older, but I just want to spend quality time with her(my girlfriend) and perhaps with a couple of my close friends, but not necessarily on my birthday :). I feel that we have to take it a little bit slow just to enjoy the ride, the life and the love that is around us....oh, and the dog Odri !!! Just as I wri

92% vs 8%, this has to change !

So, I wrote a couple of things about the $ and the € and today I wondered about one specific thing. Why almost 92% of the faces on the banknotes are of men and only 8% of women?  I thought of this because Romania takes in consideration to join the € party (switching from LEI to €) from 2024 which is not a good thing for us, making us to look even poorer :)  1€=4.6 LEI !! The second thing that made me to write about this is that in Romania people are disgusted of coins, using most of the time banknotes.  Coins in Romania are not like € cents, but more like $ cents - small and insignificant :) On the other side, € coins are valuable, 2 coins of 5 € each are 10 LEI:  a cab fare, a lunch at the office, a bike rental for 24 hours, a phone charger that you can acquire at the traffic lights, etc.  Banknotes, the people`s weapon/aid in life. We all know more or less about our history heroes, including female-heroes - yes, there is a lot of women-power in the books and that`s about it

Why is the $ sign on our keyboards? and not the € :))

I know we all use our smart phones to write stuff, and I am OK with it. But when you work with numbers and with different currencies...what is your biggest need? If you don`t know, I am going to tell you that the biggest need is the € sign on your keyboard! :) But first I want to tell you a smart way of getting an alt-code short-cut to the € sign: "How to type Euro Sign by using its Alt Code value € §         Make sure you switch on the NumLock,  press and hold down the  Alt  key, §       type the Alt Code value of the Euro Sign  01   2   8  on the numeric pad,  release the  Alt  key and you got a €  Euro Sign . Above mentioned procedure is not applicable for MacOS. To type an Euro Sign on MacOS, press and hold down the  alt (option) key and then type letter  E ." *this is the property of  https://www.alt-codes.net/euro_alt_code.php It did not worked for me :) maybe I did something wrong, but whatever.....I hope it will help you guys ;) Anyway, back to

Just stay in the house!

Every week-end we go out, party with our friends, stay late, drink a lot, have a head-ache in the next morning and then.....go to work and complain about fatigue! Let`s take a break people!! Why are we doing this?! Why do we need to go out of our homes every time we have some spare time?! I did the opposite this week-end, and I feel great at this moment. It is almost 11:00 PM and I am well and not at all tired. Being a longer week-end - in Romania, St. Andrew holiday is on the 30st of November - I wrote about this HERE  - I had one extra day off-work. Friday: woke up at 8:00AM to give someone a lift to the airport, got back home, fed the dog and crashed on the couch. Did not turn on the TV and grabbed a book - Pelinul Negru - a book about Chernobil and the life after the nuclear disaster. Instantly I realised how I want to spend the whole day. It was a lovely Friday, with a late breakfast, a power nap around 3:00PM and a couple of movies in the evening. Awesome! Saturday mo
