I just saw an interview with Doja Cat on the REAL 92.3 LA Youtube channel and I just got struck by the next thing. She is a female rapper, someone of this moment, of nowadays. But, I was listening to the interview and somehow she was at this party where also Jermaine Dupri attended. We, the listeners to rap music now about Jermaine Dupri, not a big thing of rapping, but still a big name to remember.
This is my immediate question: What got you in this music business in the first place if you do not know who someone like Jermaine is? Was it your "natural body
Why am I asking this matter? Because at this party, Jermaine said that the female rappers are not representing like they used to. And she clapped back at Jermaine by saying that he is not listening to enough rap music these days. And she misspelt his name turning into "Jermayne Durpi" as a critic.
I say, "say whaaaat Doja Cat?" or "Doja fat"?
It is impossible for me to understand how a "strapper" born in 1995 could say to someone that has been in the industry more than she ever lived to listen to more music.....
This attitude is so wrong when it is all coming to awareness and rap history. I think all these rappers nowadays could take a walk in the '90s to hear some real rap, even from Jermaine Dupri in 2000.
Letting all these aside, you could think that DOJA CAT knew some of Jermaine`s songs....but wait for it....NO NO NO, she did not :) :) And guess what, when the host asked her if she knew MY BOO, she was like....."No way is that Jermaine? I did not know that". Come on dude, at least Jermaine listened to one of your songs just to express one opinion, and you are not even thinking if you know his stuff.
This is what got me started on this matter, nothing else. If you do not know the man, shut up or before do your homework and after this beef him.
I dug Jermaine Dupri back in the good old days. He was on my cd-player and then on my mp3 player and now on my Spotify account :)
I could not say that about Doja Fat, sorry Cat. Watching her last video uploaded a few days ago Juicy, I could say and I am saying that she has a Rihanna sindrome and that`s that.
Good old days are still winning for me in the battle with the rappers from nowadays!
And don`t get me started on the male rappers nowadays!
