How is possible that a company can perform with more "managers" than executives?
In my early years in labour - 2006 :) - I was "a working piece" of the company and my boss was the "owner", so there were just two categories of people. Those who did the actual work and those who were responsible for the workers. Nowadays, everyone is a team-leader, product manager or even senior manager!!
Even if you get hired on a new position in a company, you are project manager. How is that possible when you are the only person in that department 😃😃. Being a manager involves a team that you have to ..guess what..manage :)
I am not a manager, at least not the fake one :). On my business card it says Leasing Representative. Those kind of titles are given as a "bonus" or hunted down by weak people. Yes, I said it, weak people who will do anything for a job position that has manager included. When they really are not qualified for the manager position and do not care about the implications that appear after the contract is signed. The first thing that is coming into my mind is that when you resign or you get fired you have to have a 40 working days notice, instead of a 20 day one. Just for extra 50 euros and a title?! Oh wait, I am sorry....and for a car :)
Those workers make things happen, real managers take care of the workers results and how he can expand the business.
After the 20th century, the management madness just exploded and there is no super hero to stop it. We will all be managers and we will do the same job that we are doing right now. With the same pay-check, with the same iPhone, with the same HP laptop, with the same enthusiasm until we wake up one morning and say: "Crap, I hate my job!"
Is not that the moment you feel you hate being a "manager"?
just think about it
