In 2 day times I go a number of years old :) I did not prepared yet. My girlfriend is anxious to bake a cake, to organise a great party for us to feel awesome on the 16th of December. She makes delicious cakes and she has a vast variety of recipes in her head waiting to be cooked :). My friends are waiting for me to invite them and everyone who knows about this day will celebrate with or without me :))
Now, let`s talk about me: I came up to a point when my birthday party is not what it used to be anymore. You know, all that party in the club, at my house or at any other place, bar, pub, friends place, beach, sky-slope, etc. I am almost done with all of that. And I am not getting older, but I just want to spend quality time with her(my girlfriend) and perhaps with a couple of my close friends, but not necessarily on my birthday :).
I feel that we have to take it a little bit slow just to enjoy the ride, the life and the love that is around us....oh, and the dog Odri !!!
Just as I write this down, somewhere near me - at our place - THE LIST is coming alive. Yep, the list, that thing that you save on WUNDERLIST, the app, and in which I find things that I haven`t bought in a very long time. Like granulated sugar for the coating of the cake. I will receive one notification from the app and I will take may phone(not may credit card because I am paying with my phone) with me to buy everything on the list. I am not annoyed by the list, but by all the process of putting all together for one day only. And don`t get me started on the clean-up we do after :))
And we, men, like to take it easy and not make such a big deal of almost everything - that`s why we are not sensible, kind or gentle to them, most of the time :) - we have our issues to deal with!
But, after all the talks are done and we decide that we really want a big birthday party, I get down with it and buy all the stuff to get this party going.
Now, I am in that mood..and as a big boy that I am all I need to do is.....to wait for the list, to go shopping for a couple of hours, to spend a lot of time in traffic from shop to shop, to find a tobacco place to buy charcoals for the sisha, to go back to another shop because i did not find what it was on the list, to be happy, to be well rested and efficient at work!
Still waiting for the list :)
....and while I have a few moments I want to tell you how I am paying everything with my phone. My bank, ING BANK, has one special feature, ING PAY. I think it is available in a large number of countries...
