I know we all use our smart phones to write stuff, and I am OK
with it. But when you work with numbers and with different currencies...what is
your biggest need? If you don`t know, I am going to tell you that the biggest
need is the € sign on your keyboard! :)
But first I want to tell you a smart way of getting an alt-code
short-cut to the € sign:
"How to type Euro Sign by using its Alt
Code value €
§ Make sure you switch on the NumLock, press and hold down the Alt key,
§ type the Alt Code value of the Euro Sign 01 2 8 on
the numeric pad, release the Alt key and you got a € Euro Sign.
Above mentioned procedure is not applicable for MacOS. To
type an Euro Sign on MacOS, press and hold down the alt(option) key and then type letter E."
*this is the property

It did not worked for me :) maybe I did something wrong, but
whatever.....I hope it will help you guys ;)
Anyway, back to the drawing-board with this subject. Just because
everything it is made in China, Taiwan, Korea or other country that buys and
sells shit with $, I have to have a useless feature on my keyboard?! Why
is that?
Yes, I know that the $ is the first currency that had been
approved by the Bretton
Woods Agreement back in 1944(I think you knew that already, right ?:)))
and that from moment on, 44 allied countries chose to keep their reserves in $
just to be fair in the future foreign exchange between them. The allied
countries couldn't`t store the reserves in gold, but America had the world
largest gold reserves and the $ so it was one easy choice.
What about the €? It is fresh, stronger then the $ but still,
it didn`t succeeded in overtaking it. Fresh since 1999 when it was all virtual
stuff (traveller`s cheques, electronic transfers, banking, etc), and real notes and real coins started
to circulate in 2002.
Not like the $, that took birth around the WWII, € had some
interesting openings on the market, huge euro pyramid had decorated Syntagma
Square in Athens, Paris's Pont
Neuf was
decorated in EU colours and a symbolic funeral for the Deutsche Mark took place
in Gifhorn,
a small town in Northern Germany. Stronger, by default...look at the
exchange rates and you`ll see the difference.
So, the dollar is still the most redeemable
currency for facilitating world commerce, and that`s why everything being sold
in $, you get your $ sign on your keyboard back at home or at the office.
I think that this needs to be changed or given
as an alternative.
