We all know about the mythical hashtag #MeToo :) It is a very good propaganda meeting all the needs to stop all abuses made or to be made. Now, one boss from McDonald's was fired. Ok, some small boss from a restaurant somewhere in the world got hot heels for that young cashier from his town ...no biggie :) :) :) But there is a big biggie when the boss in the discussion is the CEO of all McDonald`s in the whole wide world!!!
Yep, shit happens also up at the top floor of the building. But, just FYI, we are not talking about a #MeToo situation, we are talking about a consensual relationship between Steve Easterbrook and one female employee. Perhaps it could have been another #MeToo case but with a deal in the middle. It is not so often one leaving 12 million pounds salary per year, but what can I say....love strikes, hurts and gets people moving on a different path either they want his or not. I do not know what happened to the female employee, but I sure hope they are still together in those "rough times" :)
51 years old, freshly divorced, He has time to find another giant in the market to double the share`s value like he did for McDonald`s. Congrats for this Steve and may the compensatory leaving package from McDonald`s be satisfying for a couple of years maybe :)
He admitted publicly that he made a mistake breaking this rule of the company, not dating a colleague and resting his case, he said it was time to move on...really Steve....nice one...hopefully as nice as your new girlfriend.
I believe that his marketing people made a good move taking this in the right way, not making a big fuss out of this. And that merit also goes to McDonald`s for the small wave they did.
A man did what a man had to do - like a man.
Long story short, they will move on with their lives, McDonald`s will still be the greatest, you guys will still choose the drive-in queue instead of walking 50 steps and order your junk-food and get it delivered in 3 minutes and make again those 50 steps to your car! And us will keep on reading this beautiful blog :)
